El Paso Winter Con exists for the sole purpose of expanding the city’s horizons by introducing a new culture in a yearly convention. The main focus of the convention is Japanese culture but is not limited to this group. Winter Con offers a variety of music, art, animation, games, science fiction, educational panels, and a friendly venue for the entire family.
This convention is not only based on entertainment, but is a foundation to teach people of all ages about a different culture, diversity, and uniting people with similar interest. This convention is not only educational and a source of entertainment for the community but is also a good source of income for surrounding businesses which include hotels, restaurants, and stores. Our foremost objective is to affect the community positively, which is the reason we also hold a charity auction where all profits go to another non-profit organization in need.
